Elisabeth came home to school with good news and funny news. "Which do you want first?", she said to me. "I'll take the funny news." "Well....2 kids were outside at playtime and they decided to run away. The teachers tried to chase them but they couldn't. Two hours later, the police caught them at the Military Museum." She thought this was funny...what I thought was funny was her final statement - "Mom, if you were going to runaway, why wouldn't you run to a restaurant and get something to eat?" My kind of girl:)
Oh...and for the good news: No rumors were started when Seth (whom she used to bathe with when they were 1 and now they go to middle school together) got in Todd's car with Elisabeth after a school event. Whew. Close call on that one.

Never again....
will I take a 2 year old to a high school production of "Beauty and the Beast". Isabella told me last night that she didn't want to go, that it would 'not be fun', and that she wanted to see "Cinderella" instead. Being that "Cinderella" was not an option, I dragged her little butt to "B and the B" seeing that I had already purchased the $6.00 ticket. I even dressed her up in her Snow White costume (including the 1 inch plastic heels) and gave her a Belle doll to carry - IN THE RAIN. UGH! I should have known better. The minute we sat down the orchestra walked in, the wailing and whining started. "I don't want to stay here." "I want to go home." "This isn't fun." "I want to go to the car." "I want to see Daddy." "I don't want to see the Beast." "Take me out of here."....are just a few phrases she repeated OVER and OVER and OVER again until I finally put my hand over my mouth, got up at an inappropriate time (not during a scene change), and left the auditorium. We were only 20 minutes into the damn production and had another 2 hours and 10 minutes left. For the next 45 minutes, we snuck in and out of a side door at the back. Lucky for me, we ran into 'the Beast' during one of his breaks. Do I need to tell you that I never saw the ending?? That I came home and took a nap?? That she missed HER nap and now is on her way to bed at 7:28 pm???? There is a GOD!!!

Tellie on Ellie
Mom took this picture today....Isabella sitting on Ellie the Elephant while watching television on the computer:)
"My sister...."
The whole reason for this blog is to talk and write about Elisabeth and Isabella and their journey together. There are times that they are yelling at eachother and trying to get the other one in trouble. And then there are times like the one tonight.....
Bella was crying in bed so I climbed the stairs for the umpteenth time and asked her what was wrong. In between sobs she said, "I want my friend. I want my friend." I was thinking, "Honey, you slap and bite and push all your friends....you don't have any friends!" But I asked her anyway, "What friend?" And then she said, "My friend-my sister." So great :)

Happy Birthday, Mama!!!
Uncle Blake, Elisabeth, and Isabella.
Elisabeth and Isabella outside the restaurant.
Aunt Alison and Bella.
Todd's girls:)
My girls!!
Uncle Blake loves to spin the kids around and then watch them stumble like drunks all over the grass.
Mom came down on Saturday to celebrate her birthday with a little fun AND to keep us girls company while Todd is away on business. When he left on Sunday, we took off to Lancaster to meet up with my brother Blake, his wife Alison, and her family. We ate at a really nice Italian restaurant and sang to Mom over a plate of cannolis. We zipped through 2 outlet malls and managed to fit in a burger at Fuddruckers in Harrisburg on the way home. All in all, it was a really nice day :)

A payback bite
About 7 months ago, Bella took a nice big bite out of a little girl's hand. They were taking a walk with Bonnie and Elisabeth was walking beside the stroller. Bonnie looked away for a second when Bella's little chompers bit down on Jaylene's hand. If that wasn't bad enough, Jaylene had burned her hand the night before on a cup of hot coffee so it was all red and swollen. Well...today was payback day. Jaylene returned the favor by biting Isabella's finger. "I cry like Jacob (Jaylene's baby brother)." I am sure it hurt BUT hopefully she will remember that feeling the next time she has the urge.

Funny Bella Story
While Elisabeth and I ran into Friendly's to get some low-fat, no sugar ice cream (yeah, right!), Mom stayed in the car with Bella, who hadn't eaten in hours and was starving. To pass the time, Mom gave B. her iPhone and then decided to call her with another phone she has for calling Canada. Here is how the conversation went.
Mom: Hi Bella.
Bella: Hi Nanny!
Mom: Are you hungry?
Bella: I very hungry, Nanny.
Mom: Do you want to go to McDonalds for a hamburger?
Bella: Yes, Nanny. I very hungry. I want to get a hamburger. Thank you, Nanny.
Mom: Okay, we will go when Mommy and Elisabeth gets back. Okay?
Bella: Okay, Nanny. Bye.
She hangs up the phone and says to my Mom, "I talking to Nanny!! She going to take me to McDonald's to get a hamburger!"

Back to work....
after a great spring break:) It was relaxing and fun and FILLING--as in food. We ate at every one of my favorite restaurants, went to the outlets, saw my dad, watched MANY episodes of "Two and a Half Men" with mom, went to Canada for 3 days, stayed in a hotel with a water slide, spent time with Sadie, her mom and dad, and my grandmother, found a book on the making of Twilight, had my camera stolen, took Bella to gymnastics with Sadie, and bought the kids news clothes for spring. And if you are wondering why I have no pictures with this post, re-read the last sentence. I accidentally left my camera by the pool. We were the last ones to leave and the first ones back the next morning and it had mysteriously disappeared. My name and phone number were on the bottom. It sucks. It really does. UGH. Luckily, the good far out weighed the bad last week:) Thanks, Mom.

Boring Blog:(
According to my mother, who keeps her opinions to herself ALL the time, my blog has gotten very boring. I have to say she is right. I can't be funny and interesting all the time - it would be exhausting! At this point in my life, everything is going well-boring as that may be. The kids are healthy (aside from a possible UTI for Bella-par for the course), we are in Syracuse for spring break, and Todd is home enjoying the peace and quiet. I will spice things up tomorrow and post some pictures:) Until then...

Happy Birthday, Elisabeth!
12 years.... WOW!!! I can't believe I have a 12 year old. That makes me old....very old. When I had her, I was in my 20's and now I am almost 40. Ugh. What makes me feel younger is that I have a 2 year old, too:) Elisabeth had a great day-besides still feeling horrible. She assured me when she woke up that she was going to throw up all day. Luckily that did not happen:) She took a huge cookie cake into her class and they were all thrilled to see her after being absent for 2 days. We went to dinner at Cozy Thai and she had an entire plate of pad thai all to herself-she was only able to get half-way through it and then wanted to go to bed immediately after but she had fun. We had a difficult time convincing Bella that it wasn't HER birthday today. In the beginning, she assured us that SHE was the birthday girl and then she agreed to share the day with Elisabeth. We went shopping tonight and she bought Elisabeth her first Hollister sweatshirt (on sale, of course). She was quite pleased with herself:)
I always list Isabella's "favorites" on her birthday, so I will do the same thing for Elisabeth-just to be fair:)

Pictures from Elisabeth's pre-birthday celebrations
Elisabeth invited 10 of her friends over for a birthday party on Saturday. They all wore their pajamas but thankfully left at 9 pm:)
Elisabeth and her best friend Annmarie...they have been friends since they were 2:)

Todd and I bought Elisabeth a pair of custom-made earrings that match her necklace my parents bought her a few years ago...

She's a goner....
Elisabeth, the last one standing, has finally succumbed to this terrible bug. I promised her over and over that she would only throw up twice and then start to feel better immediately. Wrong. Mom's a liar. She has thrown up 5 times and now has a fever of 102. She is so weak she can't even walk. Poor baby. She is hoping that she feels better by her birthday on Wednesday. Me too! Enough puke talk. Thank goodness I didn't get into the diarrhea part!

3 down, 1 to go
Yup, the bug got Todd last night. God help us all. He would like to blame it on the ONE bite of salad (which he likened to eating tree leaves ) he took last night but I know better. Poor Elisabeth knows it is going to hit her. She has been sick just thinking of getting sick. The actual flu isn't as bad as how she has felt WAITING to get it. Anyway, the MAN and his ILLNESS have been confined to the bedroom since this morning. The only thing I asked was that he fold laundry. I cleaned the house from top to bottom. Just fold some laundry. I came home to, "I was able to switch the laundry from washer to dryer but that was all I had energy for." Ummmm....I don't think so. Go channel your strength and FOLD SOME UNDERWEAR!
