Taco Bell

After Elisabeth's soccer game and after enduring Isabella's constant whine of "I want a drink!", I decided to go to Taco Bell for dinner. I look at her in the car and say, "I will get you a drink at Taco Bell" to which she replied, "I don't want to talk to Belle...I want a DRINK". And it went on and on......"I don't like Belle. I went to see Belle with Mya. The beast scared me. I want a drink. I don't want to talk to Belle." We finally get to the damn restaurant and I point up at the sign and say, "See... T A C O B E L L spells TACO BELL." "NO", she says, "It spells W E M E- Bella." HUH? I give up!

Another great weekend:)

Don't you love the face?

Yes, she dressed herself. Apparently flowers go together regardless of the pattern or color.

Being theatrical. Wondered what 12 year old she learned that from????

Playing in our new Wal-Mart special.

"It's my party and I will stand by the cake and guard it eventhough it says Happy Birthday, Kaely on it."

Isabella with the birthday girl.

Elisabeth trying to catch a water balloon.

Perfect pouty face.

Perfect 12 year old. :)

We accomplished tons of things around the house on top of 2 soccer games, 2 plays, 2 birthday parties, and church!

I am WOMAN...hear me ROAR:)

Tired of waiting for someone in my family to get off his little heiny and do what I have requested for many weeks, I took off to Lowe's with Bella in tow. We bought a new digital thermostat for the house, a replacement heating vent for the kitchen (the other one, removed by me, was rusty from dog piss-yuck), replacement foot boards for the kitchen (also nasty from dog piss), and wood for a new floor for the play set in the yard. The last two were not simple-I had to measure and find the materials and then tell the Lowe's guy how I wanted each one cut. And guess what? It all worked and have to return NOTHING!!! OH....and I also bought 3 plant hangers so I could PLANT MY OWN FLOWERS IN THEM WITH DIRT FROM A BAG. Unreal. Simply amazing. I didn't know I had it in me. And remember- Bella was with me the whole time. The only thing I would have changed would have been her shoes-new flip flops which she kept putting on the wrong feet so that the thingy that was supposed to fit in between her first two toes actually went between the 4th and 5th toes making it almost impossible to walk. Not real easy on the mama who had to push a cart with many pieces of wood and many LONG pieces of floor board hanging out. And, no, I did not get pictures:)

The many faces of Bella

Meeting Daddy for lunch

The dam let go when she saw the damn duck....

I thought Elisabeth took the cake on being theatrical ( more later on that one and what she did when she found out she was going to be invited to her first boy/girl party ), but Bella blew her out of the water today. Todd brought her downstairs this morning and both of them, yes both of them, were crying. Apparently she woke up in our bed and turned my iPhone on (which is what I do first thing every morning), picked the picture icon, and somehow found this picture of her duck. For some reason, it hit a cord and the tears started to flow. "My daddy duck. Oh, my daddy duck." It isn't like she lost him or anything-he was right in bed with her. She was crying so hard, she made Todd cry. Nice way to start the morning. The Young and the Restless-here she comes! Her father could get a job, too!

Our neighborhood made the local news!!

Police were called to a home on Independence Avenue in College Township around 2 p.m. Monday for reports of two people with access to guns and drugs threatening their own lives.

This is the scene I arrived home to this afternoon. I thought I lived in a nice, little, safe neighborhood. Think again. By the way, it wasn't my house-it was 1 street over.

You know you swear too much when your......

2 year old screams, "I found my frickin' sticker!" from the back seat of the car OR when she is trying to put her shoe on and exclaims, "I can't get my frickin' shoe on!"

Time to watch my mouth.

Can you tell who I have been spending the last 2 days with???

Isabella-quite sick of her picture being taken

Todd coaching Elisabeth's soccer team

I locked her up!!! If only I could tape her mouth shut:)

Bella watered EVERYTHING in sight for us

Our new rose bush/tree....watered well.

I took this dead lilac tree out all by myself!!! Who needs a man??

We had a HUGELY busy but productive day:) Instead of going to church this weekend, we were supposed to do some form of community service-"we" were the church. I volunteered to bring 2 lasagnas and 2 dozen cookies to the local fire department by 11 am this morning. I toiled and slaved over 2 -10 pound lasagnas courtesy of Stouffers and 2 dozen cookies courtesy of Pillsbury:) The true slaving part was dropping off all these goodies with Isabella's help. I fear the cookies turned into cookie crumbs when she shook the container all the way into the fire house.

From there we went to Elisabeth's soccer game, to lunch, to Lowe's, to Megan's softball game, to Ponderosa (where I had to park because I ran out of gas), to home to work in the yard for 3 hours, to the shower where the dirt poured off of us, to dinner:) We will all sleep well tonight!!

Picture heavy....

As you can see, it was in the 60s today and beautiful!!! As soon as the weather turns nice, we are outside and having fun with our neighbors:) Mya is almost 4 and Derrick is 2 so they both play well with Bella (when she isn't grabbing balls away from them or kicking them in the shins for no apparent reason).

Isabella attempted riding Elisabeth's old bike. Trying to get her to push her one foot forward instead of back, which would cause her to brake, was a job only daddy could do (aka: I didn't have the patience). She rides it like a drunk monkey. She spends most of the time pointing and looking in once direction while the bike takes her in a different direction. More than 100 times, I thought she was going to tip over from her weaving down the road. It will be a long time before we go on a family bike trip.

There are only a few pictures of Elisabeth because she is scowling in most of the ones I take. She is going through a period of "don't take my picture" (add some whine into that statement).

And soccer starts, once again.

Even though Isabella THINKS she is part of Elisabeth's soccer team and the age group of 11-14 year olds also includes 2 year olds, she is wrong. I don't know what we are going to do when the actual games start. When we were leaving for the practice, she wanted her soccer shoes on so she could 'go play soccer with "Lilabeth". We dropped Todd and E. off at the field and then went to Target to get her her own shorts, socks, and shin guards. When we got back, she got right on the field and started playing. Mud and all.
