JACKPOT!!!

We have FINALLY found something ELISABETH loves.....SNOWBOARDING!!!!!!!! After tries at horseback riding, ballet, tap dance, swimming, soccer, ice skating, piano lessons, and tennis, she is actually happy and wanting to try snowboarding again!! She went to Tussey Mountain today with her best friend and had a lesson. She did remarkably well for the first day:) My almost-13 year old actually smiled for most of the day!!! Life is good:)

Hair Update

Yeah...for those of you think she looks adorable with her pixie haircut, check out some close-ups....she is still cute as heck but the hair could use some miracle grow.

Chop Chop

Do you want the finger story? Or the hair story????????? The hair story is much more interesting. A picture is worth a thousand words:

While Todd was running errands with Elisabeth, I decided to start dinner while Isabella watched a movie upstairs. First mistake. As I was leaving here, I noticed she was tripping into the bathroom to floss her teeth. No big deal, right?? Second mistake. I went to the kitchen and got sidetracked cleaning out a cupboard. Third mistake. I reached for the DAMN Pampered Chef Mandolin (potato slicer) because it wasn't where it was supposed to be. Fourth mistake. SLLLLLLIIIIICCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEE. My ring finger on my right hand went directly onto the blade and started bleeding everywhere. The pain was horrible. I wrapped it up and sit down on the couch so that I could get control and down comes Isabella. I thought she had just moussed her hair a bit. Fifth mistake. It's like she had taken a razor and just slapped it all over her head. Maybe it was the lose of blood or the shock of it all but it took me a minute to realize she had CUT huge chunks out. "Look Mommy!!! I made my hair smaller!! NO more ponies!!! NO more bows!!!! YEAH!!! Do you like it??" and then that quickly turned into a panicked, "I'm sorry!! I'm sorry!! I didn't mean to!!!!" The sink...the hair in the sink!!! Beautiful shiny black hair ALL OVER THE SINK:( Ugh.

12 hours later: My finger is fine...it is all bandaged up, still hurts, and I had to get a tetnus shot (which Isabella cried through because she didn't want me to get hurt). Isabella got her hair fixed/cut off. If the bangs weren't so jagged, it might be stylish. Luckily, her face can carry it off:)

I'll let you know if her hair grows back....

on her legs, stomach, and chest. I walked into the bathroom to find my darling 3 year old, with her leg up on the side of the tub, SHAVING!!! And she didn't stop at the knee. She kept on going-right up to the boobs. Not sure where she saw someone do that but she amazingly didn't cut herself. And she is nice and smooth. Apparently she had already finished the other side by the time I caught her. She was too cute to yell at.
