Happy 5th Birthday!!!

Isabella turned 5 today. I honestly can't believe she has been part of our family for almost 5 years. I thought about her birth parents today and wondered if they were thinking about her or even if they remembered the day. How could a mother forget the birth of her child, though? I just hope they aren't too sad because she really is happy. She is a smart (sometimes smart-mouthed), beautiful, energetic, happy, moody, opinionated, lively little princess all rolled into one tiny body. She has become obsessed with wearing dresses and having her hair done a very specific way. She knows what she wants and doesn't mind telling ANYONE what that is. One minute she can be professing her undying love for you and the next minute, you see her little ass take off down the hall, with her nose in the air, usually screaming, "I don't like you anymore!" She loves eating cereal for breakfast, peanut butter and jelly for lunch, and soup for dinner. Her most favorite thing to do is drink chocolate milk while watching her iPod which she has perfectly balanced on the cup she is drinking from. It drives Nanny and Todd crazy:) On a sunny day, she can be seen riding her scooter to meet her best friend Diego on the tennis courts. Although she has her helmet on, she is usually in one of her favorite skorts with silver Mary Janes on her feet and big bow in her hair. She is obsessed with My Little Ponies, Bubble Guppies, and Dino Dan. She prefers picking out her own clothes with matching accessories, has started reading and spelling 3 letter words, can swim without floaties, and can ride a bike without training wheels.

There are some days we would love to zipper her mouth shut and never answer another one of her 1,000,000 questions about life but we couldn't imagine facing each and every day without her:) Happy Birthday, Sweet Girl.

Alive and kickin'

Although we all feel like we have been run over by a Mac truck. Ugh. Mom signed for her new house on Monday, movers came on Tuesday along with the AC installation and frig delivery, on Wednesday the couch/chair arrived and the cable/tv/phone were installed, on Thursday we ran errands and unpacked all day, and yesterday we did much of the same. Mom has unpacked 1,000 pieces of crystal and about 100 fine china sets. I have hung all of the curtain rods, the vertical blinds, horizontal blinds, installed the remote keypad for the garage door opener, and am now in the process of hanging pictures. If anyone EVER looked closely at the curtain rods, they would see many little pecker holes (as my mom calls them). I told her if she got in a sexy mood with someone, she could NOT hang from the curtains as they would come crashing down.

As soon as I get some energy and the sun is shining, I will take pictures of the new abode and post them:) It really is the most beautiful house.

Endings and Beginnings

So much going on in our lives....Isabella is now done with gymnastics and soccer and on Friday, her days of preschool will be over:( Elisabeth is 4 days away from graduating from 8th grade. I am sure it will be a tear-jerker for her. I don't think there has been a year that she hasn't bawled her head off saying goodbye to everything and everyone. Due to some stupid-ass decision making on the part of my bosses, I have been moved from the high school to a new elementary school for a year. After 17 years in that place, I have gotten extremely comfortable and spoiled. No amount of tears would change their minds, though. He tried to change both of the schools I work in but I think he thought he would have to have me admitted if he pushed me too far. I packed my boxes and will say goodbye on Tuesday. It is doubly sad because it will be Elisabeth's first year at the high school and we were both looking forward to seeing eachother. Two elementary schools for one year....I think I can pull it off but I can't promise I will be smiling 24/7. My mom got an offer on her house. In a week, we will be saying goodbye to many memories. I am sure there will be tears-although she says she can't wait to get the hell out:)

Now on for the good news. Summer is here in 5 days!!! In a week, my Mom will be signing papers for her new house and in a matter of a month, she will be signing papers to sell her old one! I asked the principal of my new school if Isabella could come with me for a year and she said yes! We will be visiting there this week:) Although I won't be there full-time (I split my time between 2 schools), I will still be driving her in and picking her up. Also, a new pool in town has opened up and the kids are in love. My birthday is in 15 days and in celebration of that, I bought myself a new iPad!! I am going to have to buy myself a new rolling suitcase to carry all my electronics now:) Bella turns 5 a week after my birthday. We have been celebrating it all month, though. Oh...and we bought a new 3D TV that is to die for!! If I could throw it in my suitcase and bring it with me to Syracuse, I would.

I hate change. But I can get used to new beginnings:)
