Elisabeth Update

Elisabeth just had her 164 month check up:) She is 5'7" and weighs 134 pounds. Impressive, huh? She is just under an inch away from me....not sure how much control I'm going to have when she towers over me:)

We had her parent/teacher conferences a week ago. Need I tell you how brilliant she is?? Every single teacher (there were 5) had only glowing reviews about her, her attitude, and her school work. She has 3 A's and 3 A+'s.

She is an awesome big sister, a great friend, and a very loving daughter.

I am not sure how we got so lucky.

It's ALMOST Christmas...

and I can't FRICKIN' wait. I know I have 41 one more days but if Macy's can celebrate it this early, so can I. It is my favorite time of year...besides all the happiness of buying and opening gifts, Todd and I will be celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary on Christmas Eve. The only sad part will be not having my sister and brothers there. They decided to spend it in Colorado (2 of them live there) along with my dad. It will be the first time in my life I won't be with them. Sad. At least we will be with Mom and be making new memories and traditions. We are going to Canada for the whole time and spending it back at the lake. When we were younger, and my grandparents could handle the confusion, we would load all 7 of us in the van and spend it there. It will be different with the dogs outweighing the people (3 adults, 2 kids, and 7 dogs) but nonetheless special:)

All done traveling...

Last week, we went to Philly with Todd on a business trip and this past weekend we spent Saturday and Sunday in Harrisburg. We had the opportunity to make a nice little amount of money renting our house out for a football weekend and we jumped on it. Of course, if you go to Harrisburg, you have to go to Hershey Chocolate Factory. Why is it that you never get sick of that stupid ride through the 'factory'?? It hasn't changed in 30 years!

A trip to the pumpkin farm....

Isabella and I took a field trip to the pumpkin farm with my favorite high school class. All of the kids have special needs and the teachers are really terrific. We had a wonderful time:) She is still talking about the barn cat she found and named Rosie. No, she didn't bring it home:)

Halloween 2010

Only in a town like State College would you trick-or-treat 4 days before Halloween. Heaven forbid it effects the stupid football game on Saturday night. Don't ask how. I have no clue. Anyway, the night is over. According to Isabella, "it is her favorite night of the year!" Thank goodness we made a few shortcuts in the neighborhood and she didn't realize we cut the treating by half!
