Buster

My youngest brother Aaron just had to put his sweet dog Buster to sleep. He got him for Christmas 15 years ago when he was only 12. It was the first Christmas without our grandfather, who had died only 1 month before. We actually traveled to Canada that Christmas in 2 cars-Aaron in one with my dad and us in the other with the dog. Do you know how tough it is to hide a puppy for 3 days???? Luckily, Aaron is the ultimate lover of television and was easily distracted. That dog brought more fun and joy!!! He was obsessed with food-he even tried removing my father's lip one day when he raced across the room to grab the muffin hanging out of Dad's mouth. One time we stupidly took him to a neighbors house near my grandmother. The guy had about 20-30 geese roaming in his large backyard. Buster saw this as an opportunity to hone is chasing skills. That dog went after every singe goose....and each one of them, scared shitless, decided to flap their wings and try to fly. There were feathers EVERYWHERE and honking EVERYWHERE. We didn't know whether to duck for fear of being pooped on, chase Buster (who was having the time of his life), OR run for home. By the time we left, the geese were exhausted, but still squawking, Buster needed a drink and a nap, and the yard was covered with white feathers.

Buster, you will be missed:(
