Isabella taking Lucy for a little ride:)

Shane fishing on the dock with Bella and Liam.

We had a WONDERFUL at the lake with everyone:) Liam and Isabella finally reached the point of actually playing together and were inseparable for most of the time. The only fights they had were over the fishing pole, a puzzle, or when Isabella used the word 'idiot'. He slapped her on the back and yelled, "WE DON'T USE THAT WORD!!!". I have a feeling he has used worse which is why he is such a little rule follower now:)

Off to the lake...

We are in Syracuse and will, hopefully, be on our way to Canada in 30 minutes (if I have any thing to say about it). We are meeting up with my mom and Shane, Jen, Liam, and Lucy at my grandmother's lake house. We are all sharing my brother's new RV (minus mom)....I promise there will be pictures AND stories when I get back on Thursday:)

No worries...the roads were closed off to all traffic:)

3 Year Old Check Up

No shots!!! Whoo Hoo!!! I forgot exactly how tall she is but I am pretty sure she is a little over 3 feet and almost 3o pounds which equals the 50th percentile on the American charts!!! The doctor is pretty sure she won't be tall given her extremely short birth parents but I will take petite-something I have always wanted to be:)

Besides the height and weight, the doctor also wanted to know how she is doing socially and emotionally. She also asked me if she spoke. Are you kidding me?? The kid never shuts up but do you think she spoke in the office. NOT ONCE!!! She shook her head, shrugged her shoulders, and followed directions but did not make one peep. I wish she could have heard her tonight on the way home for the Art's Festival...

"Mommy, when we get home I want to give Elisabeth a cookie to make her feel better and it will be cool."

"Mommy, I opened the window with my foot! I am a good girl. I can open it with my hand but I opened it with my foot."

Just when you think they have grown up.....

they decide to buy a doll with their 'good grade' money:) Elisabeth fell in love with an Asian doll with long, straight hair. We found a great deal on eBay and she is, at this moment, downstairs with all of her dolls setting up a nursery. At 12 years old, I guess I should be extremely happy she is in not in the basement with a boy:)

Oh, the tantrums.

My mother-in-law commented on Isabella's impeccable behavior this past weekend. She thought she would see her hitting and biting and throwing temper tantrums. She left 2 days too soon. The first one occurred at a outdoor party this afternoon at 4. She spilled orange soda down her dress and proceeded to slug me because she was sticky. The second one was on the way home from the party when, for no apparent reason, she screamed for 29.5 minutes and no amount of coaxing, joking, threatening, coddling, or ignoring would stop her. A change of scenery worked-for about 5 minutes. She decided that Part III of Isabella and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Afternoon was in order. She started screaming again and when the blatant ignoring on my part was not working for her, she stepped out from behind my chair and hit me 3 times and the last one hurt. I won't tell you what I did as I climbed the stairs but it caused me to be quite winded by the time her little butt hit her bed.

I think she was saving up this sweet behavior just for my eyes. Lucky me:)
